Parenting how-to manual

Hi,
I don't know about you but neither of my kids was born with a how-to manual. I frequently made choices that bucked conventional "wisdom."

Being a parent is a tough job. How do you know if you are making the best choices? How can you be confident in raising our kids?

On Wednesday, August 30,2006 I will share with you what I did that worked -- for my own kids and the thousands of kids with whom I worked.

1. Introduction

Life was never meant to be hard.

2. Philosophy

The way we look at life determines how hard or easy each day goes for us. When we recognize and accept the fact that we determine how life looks and is for us then we see how powerfully we create our daily experiences as enjoyable or difficult.

3. Lesson

I just spent four wonderful days with a mentor learning how to trade stocks. I had not been looking forward to those days because they came at the time my books and speaking career demanded full-time attention.

I also was uncertain about my capability to understand the stock market well enough to make money in it.

I trusted that the Universe presented this material and opportunity at exactly the right and optimal time for me.

4. Choice

I chose to attend the special program. I also chose to learn the material easily and comfortably AND build the confidence I needed to make my money work for me in that arena. My results far exceeded my expectations

In fact, the Universe gifted me with a most amazing young man who made the material simple and FUN! Rather than be upset that my precious mentoring time was being used for non-course activity, I allowed myself to go with what was happening--and trusted my mentor knew what he was doing.

Remarkably, I discovered that the more fun I had outside the class (my mentor took me out sight-seeing, on his boat, up the mountain peaks--we had a great time) the easier I learned all that complicated information.

5. Words

I found the messages I told myself determined my degree of success in the program. I was relaxed despite my not being able to study at night or review what I had learned each day.

Actually I was downright shocked when, during the wrap-up review, I was able to answer the questions that covered every item (and then some) I had on my original list of what I had wanted to learn.

Life is an adventure to be savored in every moment.

1. Introduction

Be careful what you ask for because you will get it.

2. Philosophy

When we are clear about wanting something in our lives OR about things we do NOT want in our lives--we get it. You may remember that the Universe does not process negative words that come in our requests nor does our subconscious mind that fulfills on our requests. So when we ask for things not to happen the message received is that we want those very things to happen for us.

3. Lesson

In 1996 I was working as a psychotherapist in crisis care. I knew that I wanted to move into a different line of mental health work. I knew that fact and I thought about that fact AND I failed to take action on that deep desire.

Consequently the Universe moved me out of that facility and into a completely different way of working with mental and physical health issues. The method the Universe chose, for full impact so there was NO mistaking the result that I would leave that aspect of counseling, came in a physical attack that left me legally disabled with brain injury and unable to return to my previous work.

4. Choice

My friends and family were angry about my seeming loss. While I was scared (daily life had become a monumental struggle) wondering whether I would ever recover the life had once known, I was never angry.

I knew that person had done me a favor in taking me away from a place and work I wanted to leave. I was in for the adventure of my lifetime! Oh, I went on an unexpected journey to places I never dreamed I would visit while I learned to live in my altered mind-body. What an education!

5. Words

I remember telling myself that person had done me a favor. I remember telling myself that if I never got better maybe I was supposed to be an inspiration to others...which is exactly what happened.

Finally I told myself I wanted more in life, that I had to reach more people and I would do whatever it took to get back my life. When my sixteen member-medical team said, "This is as good as it gets. Learn to live with it" I chose to disregard their paradigm and create my own. And so I did get well again.

I am not the person I was before the attack. I am clearly (to myself and to my closest friends) different. And I LOVE the me I have grown to be.

For You And Your Teen

HI,
I know this is short notice--I just learned the details today and I wanted to let you know about this event ASAP.

http://doiop.com/learn

What if you and your teenager could attend mentoring sessions by entreprenerus and learn how to create that independent success mindset, and do it all while getting the step-by-step how-to directions?

Here is your chance. I personally know a number of the presenters. And I have attended some of the classes and noticed the presence of very young people learning side-by-side with their parents. Listen to Rhea's story for the difference that made for her family.

http://doiop.com/learn

I never recommend anything I have not personally used or done. I will be at Chris' class during this program. Working with Chris I have learned how to invest in stock options and have, to date, made only investments I understand and am still operating "in the black" in my account. I find Chris to be a great teacher who really cares that his students understand and succeed.

I have also mentored with some of the other presenters and can vouche for their success and integrity.

I urge you to take a look at Rhea's event details now and take action today to secure your seats for you and your child. And let me know you will be there so we can link up.

Be well and happy. In the end nothing else matters.
