1. Introduction

For the first time in history we are living as the sandwich generation: caring for our children while also caring for our aging parents.

2. Philosophy

Interestingly there seems to be one child who takes on the bulk of the responsibility of caring for parents even when there are multiple children in the family. Everyone has a unique role in this world. Each of us has a unique path. No one is right. No one is wrong. Life just is and we each do what we each do.

3. Lesson

Sometimes life seems unfair. The fact is we create our world according to our thoughts which lead to beliefs. As we repeat those beliefs and they become ingrained we live on automatic. Beliefs then become habits.
Some people live with the habit I am here to take care of whoever needs care. Others believe care taking is for someone else who is more skilled, with more time, whatever they tell themselves.

4. Choice

Some choices in life are more difficult to make than others. Handling parental care as the parent declines physically and mentally becomes both a challenge and a gift. As with anything and everything in life events just are and how we interpret them gives them power over us unless we take power over how we see them.
When people see life as unfair they choose to make the situation about themselves. They become victims who are unable to do what they want with their lives on a daily basis. Those who see life as service and know it is never really about them and is always about the other person and how to serve them see life as livable. I am not saying every moment is easy. I am saying every task becomes a gift of the heart that brings peace in the big picture. Love is more powerful than anything in dealing with the issues that arise watching a parent decline and ones life change direction during the care-taking process.

5. Words

The words we use when talking to ourselves determine our happiness, our stress levels and our health. People who use he word unfair basically tell the world they are victims, that others do not do their part, that others get better deals in life, that others are not coming through for them, etc. People who find the gift in every little and big life event find the path to joy in their spirit. I know because I went from victim to server during the last ten months of my moms life. Read my story and add your comments at www.alibierman.com

1. Introduction

I have been doing market research, asking people what they want that would make their life even betterhappier, healthier, and more securein their lives. Many people think that having more money in their life will solve all their problems.

2. Philosophy

Many people who make hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars a year are close to broke. Many of them do not have the cash to go out to lunch! Consider that the amount of money that comes into ones life is irrelevant in regard to wealth.

3. Lesson

If the amount of money coming in is not the key factor to wealth than what is? Some people say it is how much you keep that counts. Definitely part of the solution. What else matters? What you give is what you get. Talk with the wealthiest people on Earth and you will find they consistently give away their wealth to causes, to people, to charity, etc. Of course they also practice healthy money management: they pay themselves first, they bring in more than they pay out, they put money away for financial freedom day (living off passive income, never having to work unless they want to), they share their wealth, they are taxed in the tax system for the educated and therefore pay less.
As T. Harv Eker, #1 best-selling author of Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind, says Everyone has a money blueprint. People can only achieve the wealth of that blueprint. Just as a thermostat keeps the temperature of a room steady a blueprint keeps ones wealth level steady. If more money comes to them than they are programmed to handle (feel worthy of having) they take actions that cause them to lose that extra money. The blueprint explains why most lottery winners are broke three years later!

4. Choice

People can choose to learn where their money blueprint is set and how to change it (Read Harvs book and attend his program for free--learn more at www.millionairemind.com/a/lovinglife) or they can say rich people are lucky or rich people work smarter or rich people work harder. Whatever excuses they create as to why they themselves are not living their dreamsknow those words are excuses.

5. Words

Is money a bad word? Some people say that Money is the root of all evil. Actually the Bible those people claim to be quoting says, The love of money is the root of all evil. In fact money makes a person more of who they already are. A generous person becomes more generous while a greedy person grows more greedy.
Zig Ziglar says it best, Money may not be the most important thing in life but it ranks way up there with air and water.
